This time, as usual, I have also put together a video, which I hope you will enjoy.

In the previous article, I explained the gasoline additive type of Maruyama Molybdenum. This time, I will explain the engine oil additive.

In the video, Saito Shokai said that the gasoline additive is easier to experience. When I actually used it, the feeling is the same. I was able to experience a dramatic change in the gasoline additive, but the engine oil additive was a little better.

There are also several types of Maruyama Molybdenum. There is the original one manufactured by Maruyama Molybdenum Co. and a version tuned by Keihan Shokai. The one handled in Saito Shokai's video is the Keihan Shokai recipe version. I used the Keihan Shokai recipe version before I used the original, and was satisfied with it, so I haven't used the original. So I don't know how effective the original one is, but the packaging is the same, so you should be aware that they are different when you buy them.

Again, I'm trying Estrella first. The engine oil I'm using is Yamalube Premium Synthetic. To be honest, it is a luxury for Estrella.

It would be too much trouble to manage if I use different brands from DAEG, so I use the same oil for Estrella. If the effect of the gasoline additive is 100, the effect is about 30. The gasoline additive was too effective, so I couldn't feel such a dramatic change. However, I have been using Yamalube + Maruyama Molybdenum for more than 2 years because it hasn't gotten worse and I feel good.

The other motorcycle, ZRX1200DAEG, had a little more effect. I'm sorry to say that this is a typical additive report, but the effect is noise reduction and better transmission entry. I feel it is about 50 compared to Estrella's 30.

As for the problem of the idling speed dropping that occurred when the gasoline additive was added, there was no change this time. Even in the high RPM range, there was no change; it turns smoothly from over 5000 RPM to the limit.

As for the car, Sakki of Reverse Co. has reported on it and it has become a very popular topic. Here is the link. In this video, Kakimoto Racing in Osaka shows the horsepower increase before and after the installation.

As for the power check in the video, I think it's quite possible. In cars and motorcycles, a lot of energy produced by the engine is lost before it is transferred to the tires. If we can reduce the loss inside the engine, we can increase the usable power.

Original engine output - Loss = Usable output

In other words, this additive has reduced the loss and increased the usable power. Of course, in terms of power increase, the original power output is not increased, so if you want to aim for a large power increase, you need to increase the displacement or turbocharger as per the set-up.

I don't use them in my car. The main reason is that it is quite electronically controlled and I can't predict what will happen. Also, the engine oil consumption is about 7 liters, so it is physically and financially difficult to replace it if there is a problem. There is also the fact that I don't plan to ride it for 20 or 30 years like a motorcycle (or rather, I can't).

I'm just guessing, but I think it's worth a try if you have an engine from the 90's. I think it would be a good match for a straight 4 or straight 6 engine like the RB, SR, 1JZ, or 2JZ.

Well, finally, here is a summary of the engine oil additive Maruyama Molybdenum in my motorcycle.

The advantages are

  • Engine noise is reduced and becomes smoother.
  • Transmission will be better.

Disadvantages

  • Not much.

Other

  • No adverse effect on the clutch of the motorcycle.
  • There is no change in engine braking.

Also, I continue to use Yamalube now. I have used Motul 300V in the past, but the oil turned cloudy when I was driving on the street. Since then, I have stopped using ester-based oils. If you want to protect your bike's engine in everyday use, I recommend using a combination of a non-ester oil of a moderately high grade and Maruyama molybdenum.
