If you live in the Kanto region of Japan, you know that winter is cold but the weather is nice.Mt, Fuji can be seen clearly from Kanagawa, Tokyo and Chiba during this season.Omicron infection is also spreading, so this time I thought of some fun activities that are close by and don't involve contact with anyone.

This article is also summarized in a video. Please check it out if you like.

The rules I set this time are as follows.

  • Don't leave Yokohama City
  • Take a picture of Mt. Fuji with Estrella

I searched on Google and found three places this time.

・Near the Sanya bus stop

・Makado intersection near Negishi

・Enkaizan

These were some of the most scenic places I've seen on Street View.

The Sanya bus stop was easy to get to since I had an idea of where it was. When I got there, some people were already taking the same shot of Mt. Fuji This is what it looks like as a photo.

Next was Makado. I knew I could see Mt. Fuji from the intersection when I passed by a few times, so I was able to get there easily here as well. In the case of the Makado shot, it might be a good idea to use a telephoto lens and take a shot with the Negishi Line. This time I only had a wide-angle lens, so it was quite difficult to take pictures.

The last one is Enkaizan. I went there after I had memorized the approximate location, but I got a little lost because I didn't know where the view was. At first I went to Enkaizan, but there was no view. There was a temple called Gonenji.

A short distance from there was my destination for the day. Many people were enjoying a little hike or using it as a goal point for their bicycles.

This time, I took a picture of Mt. Fuji from Yokohama City. Since Yokohama and Mt. Fuji are about 80 km apart in a straight line, it is inevitable that the object, Mt. Fuji is small. Therefore, it is better to use a telephoto lens to get a better picture. I took this photo from Daikoku Pier a few years ago, but I used a 400mm lens at that time.

It was easy and fun to set my own rules and play this time. I'm sure there are some landmarks in your city, so why don't you try playing with your own rules?
